Dr. Rochleau has 40 years experience in mechanical engineering in both industry and academia. Dr. Rocheleau’s interests and experience span machine design and machine component design, product development, packaging design, computer-aided-design software, and involving kinematic and dynamics of mechanisms, from robots to prosthetic devices.
Currently he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Carolina leading a research team in in optimizing the design of epicyclic gear trains to ensure long life and reduced noise and in the modeling of balance of plants in PEM fuel cell systems. Dr. Rochleau is experienced in helping small to medium size companies in a wide area of product design issues. Dr. Rochleau holds several patents, primarily in new product innovation devices.
